using SIP-supplied PREMIS data #70

For discussion:

Do we want to entertain the notion of perhaps extracting rights (or other) metadata from SIP descriptors and storing it in the fast access database and AIP descriptor? Would it be passed to RXPs?

Priscilla says that this would not be daitss 2.0.

I've asked Mark Sullivan if it might be possible to add a template to the UF METS editor to include PREMIS rights metadata in the SIP descriptor. If it can be easily done we may want to discuss this enhancement sometime soon. --Lydia

Per Mark, adding a PREMIS rights metadata template shouldn't be too hard, so if we decide that we want to pursue this enhancement the UF METS editor is a possible channel for obtaining this data.

marking this as a 2.x feature, as it's not on critical path for production

do we still want to consider this?
