• The div in chapter 22 is not necessary, just style the paragraph above it with border-bottom: 1px solid. Don't specify a color.
• chapter 22 lines 162-164 - I would put those in blockquotes, it's the letter being read aloud.
• Lint needs the LoI captions to match the alt text of the images.
• Missing some figure CSS, see https://standardebooks.org/manual/1.8.0/single-page#7.8.5.4
• upper-floor.svg displays fine for me, however two notes - 1. the cross looks like a maltese cross and not a +, and 2. to the left of the cross, there should be two doors, not one door, the lower door should be moved down a little. In the page scans the left side door is not aligned with the right side door.
• floorplan.svg looks good, however I would make the lines the same thickness as upper-floor.svg. Otherwise the two look inconsistent.
• local.css line 195 is not necessary

Okay - I've attended to all of these, with the following caveats:

• I'm still puzzled by how upper-floor.svg displays for me, but I cannot for the life of me work out why it displays differently from floorplan.svg!
• I've made the "size" of the two diagram SVGs about the same, also made the lines the same thickness (using upper-floor as the standard).
• I've replaced + with a cross much closer (more or less identical) with the one in the scan, which isn't quite a Maltese cross, I thing. I think the match is good, but if you want Maltese, let me know!
• I also replaced the source PNGs for those two SVGs; I think I had taken the earlier versions from a printing other than the scan copy (mea culpa).

upper-floor.svg still is incorrect, because its viewbox is not sized correctly for the actual image contents. If you open the chapter in your browser you'll see that there's tons of white space around the image that doesn't belong. You should edit it in Inkscape and make sure the drawing is of a reasonable size, then have it automatically size the canvas to the document contents. Then save it as a "plain svg" (not an "inkscape svg") and open it in a text editor to clean out any last cruft Inkscape left behind.
