@szymas thanks for submitting this. Are you looking to have the calendar block constantly and automatically scrolling up and down? So it will scroll down until it reaches the bottom, then backup, and on and on?
Constant scrolling to bottom then loop back to top for 1,2,3,4 .. then 1,2,3,4 .. a loop
Not 1,2,3,4,3,2,1
We are looking to purchase roughly 10 more units if we can get the kinks worked out for our needs :)

1) I second this issue/need. Either this approach or adding the flexibility to adjust the font size in the calendar block would meet my personal needs. I often have too many calendar events in a single day for them all to display on the screen simultaneously. It is the same issue as above where it gets cut off at the bottom. 2) Some other constructive feedback: When I was following the setup steps in the DIY Wall Display blog there are a few key things that would have sped up the configuration if they were in the instructions at the very top of the thread a) The ctrl-shift-Q is accidentally written early on in the thread as ctrl-Q (which does not work). b) I had to put the URL address in the same line of code that opens the browser... the instructions have it written on the next line.... I had to read way further down in the thread to find the solution. I'm not completely new to programming but I've never touched a Rasberrypi--- the instructions were overall wonderful. I love the product!
@gator846, thanks for the feedback, we've updated the blog with your suggestions.
Sorry, I don't see if you made a solution for this on the blog.. our decision has to come soon or we will need to goto a new provider.
Any updates on this.. we need an answer by end of month!
+1 for this feature. We use dakboard for our daily itinerary displays at our reception desk, but have fairly active itinerary on some days such that the events roll off the bottom of the screen. I would love to have a feature that allows the calendar to scroll continuously in a loop such as @szymas suggested.
Any update on this as a year has past and we did not renew do to the fact it has not been done.. new show.. new setup.. unless this has been done!
This is definitely a feature that needs consideration. Scrolling would allow entries to be displayed in a larger font (not all the boards are being viewed from close up) while still being able to display all the necessary information.
How much support do we need to get this fairly trivial integration over the line?
Hi all, thanks for the comments and suggestions. We've added this feature to DAKboard. You'll find a new "Scrolling" option when editing a calendar block in a custom screen:
Enable that, and your calendar will scroll. This is only active for the Agenda, Schedule and Up Next calendar types.
Let us know if you run into any issues or have any questions. Thanks.
Nice!
Thanks for the job will done.

This is imperative to move forward of our purchase of 10 units.. We need to be able to have the Google ICAL feature to be able to auto scroll the schedule calendar so that a lengthy schedule can be seen. Our daily event schedules are very long and once the monitors portrait screen is filled.. it just fades to nothing.. I would think this would be an easy fix/correction. We cannot have a mouse or touch screen so it is important to auto scroll on longer schedule.
Thanks!
