I. Issue Description:

I tried to synchronize my contacts with owncloud 7.0.0 & 7.0.1. At a first
glance, everything was fine. But since the last manual triggered
synchronization some contacts are gone. Also an edit contact (insertion of
telephone number) will not be synchronized correctly to owncloud.
Furthermore I now observed that RC carddav is able to synchronize groups. I
observed a contact group I had defined in owncloud coming up in RC.
Nevertheless, this is the first time I have seen that and RC only synchronized
one group out of 14 with two contact out of 17.

Please duplicate issues on our systems. You can connect to your owncloud. I
can't fix things which works for. Sorry!

Is there any way to enable verbose logging? Currently I do not observe any
interesting logs of cardDAV synchronization. Maybe I can provide you some
interesting logs if it is possible to enable them.

Which I can find where? A little bit more information please...
I cannot find anything in the config.inc.php of RC and I can also not find any
carddav related dedicated configuration file at the moment.

Each plugin ships with a config.inc.php.dist. Also configuration files are
available and accessible from our docs.

Nice..., the logs say "nothing to do, all in sync" for CardDAV synchronization,
but there are obviously differences!
Missing groups / missing contacts!

There are two logs created. Check both logs.

Why are you not willing to duplicate the issue on our system? That's the
easiest way to deal with such things. Alternatively you can hire our team to
install and check your installation (https://myroundcube.com/services-support).
Obviously things work well for other but not for you. So, duplicate the issue
on our well configured system and we can start from there. If you deny to
proceed this way then I'm sorry.

I restarted the whole synchronization after roundcube deleted all my contacts
on my dav server...
After restoring all contacts from backup, I reconfigured roundcube now with
enabled config.inc.php files for carddav and caldav. Until now I have all
contacts in sync. I will observe the synchronization further.

Btw: I will try to reproduce this problem first on my system, if I observe an
issue, such that I get an idea how to reproduce it on a different system. But
unfortunately until now the issues occur randomly without any common cause. If
I could determine causes I will also reproduce it on MyRoundcube.

For now I enabled debug logs for carddav and caldav. Lets see whether I can get
anything from that, if the next problem occurs.

Thanks for help until now.
You might want to close this ticket.

FYI. If you delete a CalDAV or CardDAV resource you are prompted twice if all
properties (events / cards) should be erased. This is the only step where I can
imagine that your entire resource was wiped out.

Yes I was prompted before deletion, but I did not thought about wiping remote
data as I only wanted to delete the synchronization configuration for carddav.
In my opinion a DAV client should never wipe remote data, when its
synchronization configuration is deleted.

But maybe this was only a misbehavior because of anything I have done to fix
the synchronization. So for now lets assume that and I might contact you if I
found the next issue ;) (hopefully I do not find more issues)
