Use custom models when defined #24

Everywhere in views, utils and probably other modules the concrete models are imported and used, which doesn't make sense if custom models have been registered.

@blablacio This feature branch is in progress, I don't have an ETA just yet, but should be considered stale until I have completed the refactor
