A few idea suggestions #62

Firstly, the simplest suggestion, what about implementing your own version of Greg's Lighting from waaay back in the day? http://www.cosc.canterbury.ac.nz/greg.ewing/minecraft/mods/GregsLighting/ Specifically, I feel like the Carbide Floodlight would fit perfectly with the mod. There could also be a 'tier 2' floodlight, which not only produces light but suppresses all mob spawns within 8(?) blocks of the beam, and uses batteries with a 100% salvage rate. Also, a propane floodlight would be neat too, as a more direct upgrade to the Carbide Floodlight that just produces light in exchange for propane.

Secondly, a way to chunkload within the mod would be nice. Not sure how best to balance this one, I guess making it use cores? Or ender pearls? Or eyes of ender? Or...?

Thirdly, I've noticed that food is kinda pointless to automate with just this mod installed and no other, which I was kinda disappointed by. I had the idea of adding a tier 2 autocrafting table, which is made of some kind of organic component (zombie head? Villager?) and must be 'fed' as a part requirement. This could also come with the addition of some kind of standardized canned food item, though however this is implemented, I'd prefer if the 'strength' of higher-quality foods be maintained in importance somehow. To make this tier 2 autocrafter useful, I propose a nerf to the current autocrafter to make it only work for 1x1, 2x2, and 3x3 recipes. The tier 2 autocrafter would then have the same functionality as the current one, with the additional resource requirement.
