Hey there.

It appears to have stopped working today. Alexa still responds to the commands but SmartStart doesn't receive the signal from the skill.

I'm having the same issue, but I'm not completely sure the problem is with the skill. I can't connect to the vehicle from the app either. It's as if the vehicle isn't connected to the cellular network. DEI might be having issues with something.

The App is working fine on my end. Been using it all day to start my car but still no luck using Amazon Echo. I noticed a big difference in response time between when I issued the command to Alexa presently, than earlier in the day. I was getting a lot of timed out requests, but now her responses are much more instantaneous, but still no luck with the car getting started. I've tried other commands like "Alexa, ask Viper what was the top speed today?" and she always reports 0mph.

Mine was working again as of this morning. I know Dale is aware others have experienced this issue, and I think he's working on some additional logging to track down the problem. He'll probably give you a better answer :)

Hello, I got this up and running per the directions and it acts like it is doing what I ask but nothing happens. I have two cars on my login and I think that may be the problem. Is there a way to specify which vehicle I am trying to command?

I was having the same issue today, got it working with alexa 2 days ago and then today it stopped sending the signal.. So i deleted the alexa skill and redid it. wouldnt work, tried again same thing, tried 3rd time and it started working again... not sure if it will stop in a day or two but is there a fix if it does?

Dale, is the SmartStart "API" still working or has Viper made changes locking us out of this? Thanks!

Any update on this? I configured the skill this AM and it was working great, initiated several start, stop, lock, unlock commands with no issues. then a few hours later it stopped working. Like the others here Alexa still acknowledges my request and responds as is its working but nothing happens on the vehicle. Any info is much appreciated.

Mine has been working great since the next day after my last post. This skill is awesome, not sure why DEI and Alexa have not made this an actual skill.

I did not do anything to “fix” it. It just started working on its own the next day.
