Archer T2U Nano - LED #351

Open MarFre22 opened 4 years ago

Hi, Thanks to everyone who contributes for this community.

I've been using the TP-Link Archer T2U Nano since I made the hackintosh on the Mi Notebook Pro. On the Mojave, the T2U nano has the led always on, but on Catalina it's always blinking.

Is there any way to modify the behavior of the led?

Thank you again for the attention and the help!

This doesn't have anything to do with this project... Anyway, I just destroyed the led diode instead. The drivers do probably contain the logic for the leds behaviour but modding that isn't worth anyone's time. Now that the led is dead it looks nice.

@kvn1351 I understand, sorry for my off topic question.

How can you destroy it? I think opening it is a bit hard.

What driver did you install? I also use T2 and with Mojave drivers the led was always on, since I updated the drivers by putting those for Catalina the led always flashes.

I use the official drivers, now I have the one for Catalina even if I have Mojave. I tried hoping to improve compatibility with Google Wifi. #347

@ZambraDesigner

Hi,

I'm using chris1111's driver ( https://github.com/chris1111/Wireless-USB-Adapter-Clover ) because it's more stable for hackintosh. I think that official driver by TP-Link was made to real Mac in mind.

So it's common blinking with catalina's driver. I think @kvn1351 idea it's a good one.

I saw your post related with T2U nano's poor performance. Yes it's a really bad performance for a 5GHz WiFi USB... I think it's something related with USB configuration, because sometimes the USB port turns off (but the other still works) when I take out the T2U.

I just saw that there is a new version of chris1111 (v14), hope it can solve the performance.

Turns out that the v14 has the same problems you reported. I also opened up a issue by resuming this situation with all the tests I was able to do. You can check out: https://github.com/daliansky/XiaoMi-Pro-Hackintosh/issues/375
