1 year ago If I'm not mistaken, starting from BigSur system images are no longer bootable. Yesterday encountered this problem, and solved it by online installation through RecoveryImage with instructions from OpenCore. After installing the system via OpenCore, you can continue to use Clover.
- Create a bootable USB RecoveryImage according to these instructions https://dortania.github.io/OpenCore-Install-Guide/installer-guide/windows-install.html. As boot loader on USB use OC release from this repository (Clover didn't start).
- Then boot from USB to OpenCore where you need to press Space key to get boot into Recovery Image - Then boot into RecoveryImage (dmg) this is the usual MacOS install menu, where you can make partitioning and install system, but note that you need constant access to the Internet to download the system image. If you encounter a problem that your WI-FI network is not on the list, try to enter it manually by name and password in WI-FI window.
- When the system is installed and reboots after installation with RecoveryImage, you can boot and complete the installation from Clover (this can do a reboot 3-4 times)
Hello I’ve purchased a new USB drive and and downloaded the latest Mac OS and used 2 ways to try create a bootable USB drive, used both balenaEtcher and after it wasn’t bootable I’ve made a new one using Transmac with the same result: when I’m pressing F2 to go to the boot menu I see only windows . I’ve checked also I did everything by the manuals for the bios thing to make sure that this is not the problem. What can be the problem? Maybe the DMG I have for the OS ? Any help will be appreciated thank.
