Find and recover Thin variant source + import #26

I heard there was a thin weight, where can I find the source?

Found a cubic master in https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubuntu-font-family-sources/0.84~mono0.83+arabicfontconfig-0ubuntu1 😃 With reversed path direction. And no anchors.

Not sure if this would help (I’m not a font designer at all), but the latest source hosted on Ubuntu’s own website contains a version of Ubuntu-Th-designsource.vfb that significantly differs from the cubic master above:

I wonder if this version would do? Apparently little could be recovered from the Internet 10 years after (google/fonts#1922), but the least we could to is to try piecing the puzzle together. 😅

I had a quick look inside. Both have the same amount of glyphs, but one has quadratic instead of cubic curves, which take up more space, so...
