I'm definitely open to this - I've moved it up the backlog.
I'd like to iron out the current set of bugs which are being a bit of a nuisance before getting a started on this.
How complex is it to set up?
For Chocolatey, I've found the tl;dr (and a lengthened explanation) here: https://docs.chocolatey.org/en-us/create/create-packages-quick-start
Here's the process for Scoop
(the extra
bucket should be the right one):

I can add Whim to Winget once stable is released (I feel like sending alpha releases to winget-pkgs is too noisy 😅). You can setup Winget Releaser for automation afterwards.
Here's the process for
Scoop
(theextra
bucket should be the right one):
Extras bucket maintainer here. I can also add it to the bucket once stable is released. For pre-release versions, the Versions bucket is the right one. A portable version would be needed, though, which I don't see yet in the releases.
Some people might also enjoy having it available in Winget (no experiences from my side, as Winget is not supported on my work machine due to company policies).
@rGunti If you need a portable version, try installing winget
from Scoop
Same. Especially as current alpha versions get flagged - 'Windows protected your PC' (never a great first impression haha).
Is there an existing issue for this?
Proposal
I try to use Chocolatey as much as possible to install & maintain my applications. It would be nice to have Whim available via Chocolatey. Some people might also enjoy having it available in Winget (no experiences from my side, as Winget is not supported on my work machine due to company policies).
