O2 Connector, Special Char #370

What steps will reproduce the problem?
Send special char like '>' to o2 Webconnector...

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Report Error. Instead Sending SMS hangs in statusbar.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Android 1.6, T-Mobile G1

Please provide any additional information below.

to be sure:
sending anything like '>' in the text will make the connector fail silent?

Sorry. I'm not totally sure. Maybe I shot to sharp on a particular issue.
But sending SMS through o2 Connector fails sometimes lately...  

Scenario happend:

Wifi connected, send sms including '>', sms "hang" in the statusbar (sending) 
for over 10 minutes (this is what happends sometimes lately), it didn't reach 
the reciepient.

I copied (thx to your feature in smsdroid) and send again without '<', 
delivered successfull.

i just tried to reproduce, but sending "foo>bla" worked as supposed.
can you reproduce the problem on your phone?
