Sending MMS with WebSMS incl. support for connectors #371

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 8 years ago

My provider supports sending SMS and MMS via their website. At the moment
WebSMS supports only sending SMS. It would be nice to have a opportunity to
send MMS via WebSMS.

My thoughts:
 - MMS integration in the WebSMS-GUI for adding pictures/files
 - MMS support in the WebSMS-API for developers.

Developers of all various connectors should be able to integrate sending MMS
(text and pictures, maybe media files) in their own connectors.

Would be a nice new feature ;-)

Thanks

Unfortunately no progress so far. I did not even start refactoring. My priority
in this case is 'low' at the moment. So I'll try to start middle/end of May
2011 ;-)

Am I right in saying that you cannot send MMS using SMSdroid + your telco's
network (i.e. without websms)? SMSdroid seems much nicer that the standard
Messaging app, but the standard one does allow going when composing a message
-> menu button -> Attach -> select a picture from gallery -> message becomes an
MMS. Is that feature request covered by this issue, or should it be logged
separately?
