Build not updated for ubuntu #167

Hi, the ubuntu built seems to be broken again. I can see changelog for 6.8.7 release but there has been no activity on launchpad

Have you tried contacting their support (if they have any), about PPA issues? Unfortunately I don't have any real way to debug what's wrong with launchpad. I do get emails that they received the source packages, but after that no news is supposed to mean good news.

My only other option is to spam launchpad with builds and rebuilds on a regular basis, but that might me against their terms of service due to all the compute power they'll waste.

Is there any source besides launchpad where we can download latest liquorix kernel releases for ubuntu OS?

damentz commented 7 months ago

No, Ubuntu builds have been exclusive to the PPA, I can look into building Ubuntu packages the same way Debian packages are built and self host them on liquorix.net.

Thank you so much. That would be a great solution! Meanwhile, I really hope launchpad fixes their PPA issue so that we can at least have the 6.8.7 build.

The bug has also been reported on launchpad:

Ok, the issue appears to be that their PPA FTP site was down when I pushed the release. The build scripts terminated early as a result and because I've been busy this week, I never followed up to see what happened.

New kernels are on the way and will be available once they finish building. Or of Launchpad fails again in other ways I'll have to investigate. I'll keep this open once I can confirm the kernels are up.
