A new update should be out for Ubuntu in the next 1-2 hours that could possibly fix the issue you're affected by. Due to a configuration name change, some realtek hardware was disabled by default as part of building. That's now resolved in the latest kernel release (5.17.0-5.2, 5.17-10).
Besides that though, it's also highly likely a stable update broke the out-of-tree driver you linked. The author on that repo appears to be responsive, so I recommend submitting an issue there if the latest kernel update doesn't help.
I got my Realtek WiFi adapter working.
My ethernet (while I don't use it often), strangely, stopped working.
Was that at the result of upgrading or you got the wifi working separately? Same goes for ethernet.
Is this issue still present on the kernel 5.18 releases?
Closing issue, original issue is resolved.
Version
5.17.0-3.2-liquorix-amd64/jammy
caused my networking on my ThinkPad T510 to stop working. Both WiFi and ethernet.Had to revert to 5.17.0-1.2-liquorix-amd64 to make it work again.
Thought it was a DKMS issue, but no output was generated, which I think it means that the module is installed.
My WiFi module is a TP-Link T3U Plus AC1300 which uses this RTL88x2BU driver.
