Speaker notes view does not show upcoming slide #537

The upcoming slide is stuck on a sort of semi-rendered Reveal.js of the first slide, it stays like that while advancing slides in the main view. Toggling slide mode inside the slide notes, by closing with X icon and opening with alt+r, seems to somewhat fix this.

Note: after toggling slide nodes (closing and opening with t) once, upon entering it again made it unusable.

Could you please let us know the RISE, notebook and browser versions? Btw, is there any error in the browser JS console?

I have noticed the same issue when I use Google Chrome 88.0.4324.182 on Ubuntu Linux 18.04 with the xfce window manager. When I use Firefox 85.0.1 instead, this works just fine.

Sorry, I missed @damianavila's response, I was also most likely using Google Chrome, on MacOS.
