homebridge-vera and Fibaro Dimmer 2 #164

Hello!

Newbie here: homebridge-vera installed on a Raspberry Pi with a Vera Edge Controller.

Trying to start homebridge, I get an error Unhandled rejection Error: Cannot add a bridged Accessory with the same UUID as another bridged Accessory: right after Initializing platform accessory 'Fibaro Dimmer 2'.

I have 3 Fibaro Dimmers 2 with different names but homebridge seems to think they are the same device. I saw in another thread that you have to remove the dimmers from the vera platform. However is there a way to fix this without removing the dimmers?

Hi muenn3 I had a similar situation and its because of the way Vera sees the additional outputs from these switches (in that if you only use one output(s1) it will show it in Vera but, if you dont activate s2 then Vera creates the device but hides it, but gives it the same name. I rang Vera Support and asked them to unhide it/rename it.

They kindly renamed them so they were unique and then re-hid them. these devices CANNOT be deleted as Vera will just create them again.

Once they did that, it worked correctly. Hope this helps
