Moving Pictures is a movies plug-in for the MediaPortal media center application. The goal of the plug-in is to create a very focused and refined experience that requires minimal user interaction. The plug-in emphasizes usability and ease of use in managing a movie collection consisting of ripped DVDs, and movies reencoded in common video formats supported by MediaPortal.

"Last Used" view broken with categories disabled #1017

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Set MovingPictures to use the last-used view in config.
2. Start MediaPortal and enter MovingPictures. It starts in list view.
3. Change view to something else (I tested thumbs and coverflow).
4. Hit the home button on remote, then go back into MovingPictures.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

I expected it to use the last-used view. Instead it used the list view every
time.

What version of Moving Pictures are you using? 1.2.2beta (1.2.2.1290)
What version of MediaPortal? 1.2.0beta (SVN 27941)
What Skin? DefaultWide

Are you using Categories to view your movies, i.e. does it list Unwatched,
Recently Added, etc when you launch? If so, can you please enter open the
Categories Editor (click "Define Movie Categories" on the GUI Settings tab) and
check what the layout settings are in place there?

By default Categories are set to "Use Parent View" which will result in the
global default if nothing is specifically defined anywhere.

I have 'organize movies by category' disabled. See the attached screenshot from
config.

So I would assume that it should store the last-used view.

Is this now a confirmed bug? I can reproduce this on three different PCs.

Hi,

Unfortunately with 1.2.3, this is not fixed.

Steps to reproduce are exactly the same as above.

Thanks will look into it, sorry about this, I thought I had tested it pretty
thoroughly. According to your PM this only applies to CoverFlow?

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
Yes, this does only seem to apply to coverflow now.
