Moving Pictures is a movies plug-in for the MediaPortal media center application. The goal of the plug-in is to create a very focused and refined experience that requires minimal user interaction. The plug-in emphasizes usability and ease of use in managing a movie collection consisting of ripped DVDs, and movies reencoded in common video formats supported by MediaPortal.

I also had this issue, and found a workaround in the MP forums:
http://tinyurl.com/4yfxqat

The issue appears to be 3 windows updates, at least in Windows 7 32-bit.
Uninstalling these updates should resolve your issue:

KB2533623
KB2555917
KB2507938

Thanks for the reply. Uninstalling these updates doesn't seem to have helped
me at this point. I was using Virtual Clone Drive instead of Daemon tools. I
Uninstalled the updates, and then just to try, I installed Daemon tools, and
switched over to that in MP. Same behaviour after uninstalling those patches,
and after switching to Daemon Tools. I wish I could get one of the developers
to look at this for me. I have been through all of the logs and just can't
find an explaination.

Any further though on this issue? Is anyone else out there experiencing this
problem still? I have, since my last post, updated MePo to version 1.2.0RC
with plans to update to the final release on Monday, and Moving Pictures to
version 1.2.3 with no improvement. As I stated above, I have tried
uninstalling applicable windows 7 patches, uninstall/reinstall of both virtual
drive programs, and have also tried a myriad of different codecs to resolve
this issue. Nothing has worked. Actually Moving Pictures won't even start the
movie now without the resulting windows error. Please help!
