Moving Pictures is a movies plug-in for the MediaPortal media center application. The goal of the plug-in is to create a very focused and refined experience that requires minimal user interaction. The plug-in emphasizes usability and ease of use in managing a movie collection consisting of ripped DVDs, and movies reencoded in common video formats supported by MediaPortal.

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Open Moving Pictures Configuration and go to plugins and bring up the Moving
Pictures configuration
2. Either add a directory with offending DVD rips or paste an offending DVD rip
into a monitored directory. I used a rip I have of the DVD 'Red' but at least
a third of all the DVD rips I have will cause the problem. Most of my DVD rips
were generated from AnyDVD.
3.

What is the expected output?

Not a crash

What do you see instead?

MP Config Crashes

What version of Moving Pictures are you using?

1.1.5.1328

What version of MediaPortal?

1.1.3

What Skin?

Default BlueWide

It seems to crash on the MediaInfo part.

You can try to disable the "Automatically Retrieve MediaInfo" setting via the
Gear icon at the import tab, or update your mediainfo.dll file from the
SourceForge site of the MediaInfo project.

Seems the file you are trying to import contains information that freaks out
the current version of the DLL you have.

Crashing stopped by disabling the "Automatically Retrieve MediaInfo" setting -
Thanks. Oddly enough it still automatically retrieves media info.
