Retrieve additional actor details

Hi.
First I would like to thank you for making this fantastic plugin.

I just figured this could be a great feature/extension related to movies.
Lets say i have Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. When entering the
movie to get more info the artist show up:
 (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1055369/ or http://www.themoviedb.org/movie/8373)
Shia LaBeouf     ...    Sam Witwicky
Megan Fox   ...     Mikaela Banes
Josh Duhamel    ...     Major Lennox
Tyrese Gibson   ...     USAF Master Sergeant Epps
John Turturro   ...     Agent Simmons

Instead of just showing them you can choose an artist to loook up their
details: (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0479471/ or
http://www.themoviedb.org/person/10959/filmography)

This could show:
1. Partipated movies like:
2009    -   Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen     
    -   New York, I Love You    
2008    -   Eagle Eye   
    -   Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull  
2007    -   Transformers    
    -   Surf's Up   
    -   Disturbia   
2006    -   Bobby   
    -   A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints  
2005    -   Constantine     
2003    -   Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle     
    -   Holes 
If you got the movie in your database it can be choosen to watch as well.

2. A Mini Biography like http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0479471/bio or facts
from here:
http://www.themoviedb.org/person/10959/filmography

3. Awards: 11 wins & 19 nominations

Of cause this shouldn't only be avaiable the way I said, that's just one
way. Another way could be like "filtering" or using the information bottum
and have an menu there you could choose to show actors ie.

Well we would definitely like to pull role details so you don't just have a 
list of 
actors, but what you are describing is a LOT of extra information. We might 
eventually 
add a "other movies with this actor" button to show other movies CURRENTLY IN 
YOUR 
DATABASE that the actor was in. But I think it is very unlikely we will add a 
full 
actors detail page like you are describing any time in the near future. That's 
just a 
lot of work for a feature I think MOST people wouldn't care much about. 

To implement, we would need:

1) A new type of scraper script, integrated into the data provider system in 
the 
plugin.
2) New internal database objects built to store actor infromation, all linked 
to 
existing movie objects.
3) Integration into the importer to (optionally?) pull additional actor 
information.
4) A new UI in the GUI to display the information.
5) New skin files to implement the new UI.
6) A new UI in the config to review and manage actor data.

That is a lot of work for such a feature... I am not saying no and will leave 
this open 
for a while to hopefully spawn some discussion, but I think for the foreseeable 
future, 
there are other things we could be better spending our time on.

It was more to give you some ideas to something extra usefull details, not that 
all
was needed to be implemented. And couldn't find something simelar to this
enchancement, so.. From what you tell it's quite a lot for such a feature. But 
it
would be quite fun to have some details of the actors as well. So maybe just 
what's
needed contra time spending to make it.

Well at the very least I would like to see us pulling role information as well 
for 
actors. This is probably not something we will get to very soon, but I will go 
ahead 
and schedule this for 1.1 just to make sure it's in our "roadmap".

i will love to see the origanal request for implement a full actor & crow 
detail view,i think it's a big part for movie lover ,and other media center 
program have this option .
what else that Deda membr in media portal did a patche for my videos for media 
portal that is approved for MP 1.2.0 that will come out soon ,in is update have 
full

Can someone maybe take the MOD in this link (

ngpictures-96929/#post749493 ) and enhance it to do automatic scrapes or even 
better bring it closer to MP-TVSeries functionality to show actors.
