Support a full release date rather than just year #551

Suggestion that another sorting field be added to the MP Plugin.

Rather than the confusion given by the sort by date (previously discussed
in issue 333) with the modified/created windows dates.

I am suggesting that the new field grab the release date from IMDB and then
we can sort our movies when they were released, this may assist many users.

As mentioned above, those two new issues will make it better for next release.

No probs. The sort order is slightly different than I expected. However, it is
much better. Thanks for your efforts and I am keen to see the next release.

It looks like it is filtering them within years, but, not by the actual release
date.

It groups the 2013 together, but, then lists them alphabetically within that
year?

You will need to be more specific what your problem is and in a new issue
report. Thanks.

The "releasedate" sorting doesn't sort it by release date.

I can do a new issue, but, it is to do with this issue. Specifically.

What it is doing, is putting all the movies in 2014, 2013, 2012, etc but the
actual order isn't by release date, it is by date within each year.

Not sure I understand, if you select SortyBy 'Release Date' then it will show
all movies that are in your selected category/filter by release date as
expected.

Im not sure what you mean by 'date within each year'? Doesn't that mean release
date? Also ensure your release date field is populated correctly for all your
movies, you may need to refresh since it's a new field.

I mean that all the movies for each year are grouping together.

However, I wasn't aware of the refreshing situation. I will try that first and
report back... How?

I couldn't work out how to refresh the whole list. So I deleted & readded and
it appears that the release date is now working.

The problem was, all the movies were set to 01/01/YEAR. Now after
re-downloading the info, it got the full date.

Thanks :)

That's expected as release date field is new so it will upgrade the database
with 1/1/YEAR until movie is refreshed.
