Moving Pictures is a movies plug-in for the MediaPortal media center application. The goal of the plug-in is to create a very focused and refined experience that requires minimal user interaction. The plug-in emphasizes usability and ease of use in managing a movie collection consisting of ripped DVDs, and movies reencoded in common video formats supported by MediaPortal.

Playback of multiple ISOs result in crash when using VirtualCloneDrive #565

Hi,

First off, I hope I made some stupid mistake somewhere so that this is not
a real bug. This would save a lot of work for you guys... (EXCELENT
JOB!!!!!) :) If that is the case, I do appologise for the false error...

I recently upgraded to SVN from 20-10-2009. In this new SVN there is the
improved core.dll. Improvement is about graph release order and stuff. But
after this improvement, I saw an issue with mounting dvd images. It could
be just bad timing, but it could be related... I dont know.

I start MP, go in to moving pictures and start a dvd-image. It plays mostly
without any fuzz. But when I stop the playback and go inside moving
pictures to the next dvd image and start to play that one, this image is
not propperly played back anymore.
I can see different things:
- Codec error: xxxx.IFO
- Back in moving pictures movie list
- Black screen with a non responsive MP. (Alt-F4 works)

Strange thing is that when I disable ALL plugins, including moving pictures
and play the same dvd-images through MyVideos, all is OK. No problem at all
then.

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Play DVD image1
2. Play DVD image2

What version of Moving Pictures are you using? What version of MediaPortal?
What Skin?
MP 1.1 beta + SVN 20-10-2009
MovingPicture 7.5
Skin: Blue3wide/X-factor (no difference)
Virtual clone drive 5.4.3.5
Normally using Dynamic Refreshrate Changer, but disabled it for testing.

I also created two logs
One log without any plugins and using myvideos
One log without any plugins except using moving pictures.

The logs and a discussion about this are located in this thread
http://forum.team-mediaportal.com/moving-pictures-284/bug-moving-pictures-svn-20
-10-2009-a-72299/
I also attached the logs.

I have an clue about what the cause is for the problem
I was using vertualclonedrive when I see this error.
I switched to deamontools and now the problem is gone.

So it might be related to the way the dvdimage mounting is handled differently.
Hope this helps.

Well I am glad you found a work around. I will schedule this to be worked on
for 0.8.1.
And for future reference, it was mentioned in the MP Forum thread, but this
issue
occurs in 0.8 as well.
