Moving Pictures is a movies plug-in for the MediaPortal media center application. The goal of the plug-in is to create a very focused and refined experience that requires minimal user interaction. The plug-in emphasizes usability and ease of use in managing a movie collection consisting of ripped DVDs, and movies reencoded in common video formats supported by MediaPortal.

Bad media scan #759

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Launch MediaPOrtal and then moving pictures
2.insert a Blu-ray disc

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I would like media portal to open the description of the inserted Blu-ray
(in my case Revolutionnary road (aka Le noces rebelles) but it opens the
description of Reign over me (aka A coeur ouvert). It produces the same
result with other Blu rays

What version of Moving Pictures are you using? What version of MediaPortal?
What Skin?
Moving pictures 1.0 beta 3
Media Portal 1.0.4.23491

I suspect this is related to Issue #683. But can you please attach your
movingpictures.log file from after you reproduce this error?

Thank you for the log file Agenda, but this unfortunately is not exactly what
we are
looking for. We need the log file from when you actually import the movie,
sorry I
was not clear about this. To create this scenario I would go into the config
and
ignore the Bluray movie from the Movie Manager. Exit and reenter the plugin and
then
on the Importer tab click "Unignore All Files". The Bluray disk should then be
reimported (presumably with incorrect details). Then shut down and post your
log file
here.

As a side not though, this is an extremely easy thing to resolve. Have you
considered
just sending the movie back to the importer and manually searching for the
correct
film?

sorry bout that. Here are my log files.
What I did :
-ignore reign over me
-ignore the terminator
-import reign over me
-import the terminator
-launch mediaportal and moving pictures
-insert my terminator blu-ray

Now, it doesn't show me the details for reign over me any more but for the
patriot
(the one with mel gibson, not with steven seagal)

Importing all my blu-ray collection would probably solve the problem (I hope
so).
Only, it would be the third time I would have to manually import it (a first
time,
plus a second one cause I changed my optical drive and then this third time.
Hope it
would be the last one)

Hove these log files can help

BTW, agenda@lenoir.mobi is just the address I use for my google agenda (and the
only
one that is linked to a google account). You can call me Mathieu (or maxxouille
from
the mediaportal forum)

Hello Mathieu, very sorry for the extended delay, development has slowed down a
lot
over the last few months. Is this still an issue for you and if so do you have
anything
to add?

If not we will take a look at this in the near future. We are trying to get 1.0
Final
out the door, and once we do we will start working on stuff like this again.

hi conrad.john,

I think everything is fine now. But I can't tell you when it was corrected
exactly (I
mean which version).

Mathieu
