Moving Pictures is a movies plug-in for the MediaPortal media center application. The goal of the plug-in is to create a very focused and refined experience that requires minimal user interaction. The plug-in emphasizes usability and ease of use in managing a movie collection consisting of ripped DVDs, and movies reencoded in common video formats supported by MediaPortal.

MediaPortal hangs when trying to play a blu ray disc with external player (PowerDVD8) #817

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Configure MovingPictures with PowerDVD8 as external player for Blu-Ray
discs.
2. Insert the disc -> MovingPictures jumps to the movie.
3. When I press "Play" MediaPortal doesn't respond and the light at my
Blu-Ray drive flashes all the time. I waited about 10 min., nothing happens.
4. I have to kill the MediaPortal process; the light at my Blu-Ray drive
stopps flashing.
5. When restarting MediaPortal the light of the Blu-Ray drive flashes again
all the time.
6. I can navigate through my MovingPictures collection.
7. When I try to play any movie (*.avi, *.mkv, BluRay) MediaPortal doesn't
respond again.
8. I have to kill MediaPortal, eject the inserted Blu-Ray disc and restart
MediaPortal to use MovingPictures.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expect MP to minimize and PowerDVD8 to start. Instead MP doesn't respond.

What version of Moving Pictures are you using? What version of MediaPortal?
What Skin?
MovingPictures: 1.0.4
MediaPortal: 1.1.0 RC1
X-Factor Skin: R615

I don´t have this "bug" with all my Blu-Ray discs. Most of them work
perfect. But some have this problem.

I attached 2 log files. The one with "_BluRay" is after i tried to start
the Blu-Ray disc "Transformers". The other is when i tried the watch a
"normal" movie after the problems with the Blu-Ray.

I don't personally have a bluray drive so am not able to reproduce this, but
one of the
other developers should be able to take a look after we get 1.0 Final out.
