No Menu Soft Button On Honeycomb - Acer Iconia A500 #507

What steps will reproduce the problem?
  1. Install the latest official beta release 0.8.6 beta 1 using side-load from apk here
  2. Add you first host using the menu drop down in top right
  3. Return to main pages and navigate around.
  4. Once host is added no menu button will be available (either the new HC dropdown or the compatibility menu button on bottom bar)

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

  Either the new style drop down menu should be present or there should be a compatibility menu button available

What version of XBMC Remote are you using?

  0.8.6_r768 beta 1

Which Android device are you using (and which ROM, if custom)?

  Acer Iconia A500 (HC 3.0.1 - Acer_A500_1.016.05_COM_GEN1)

Which XBMC revision are you running and on which platform?

  10.1 latest release from Ubuntu Maverick team-xbmc ppa

Please provide any additional information below.

  I have manually compiled the SVN source (as of 24th April) and have a compatibility menu button present all the time.

Did you compile it with Android 3.0 as the target?
