What device(s) are you experiencing the problem on?

NEC LifeTouch NOTE ( A Japanese android device; hardware qwerty keyboard
equipped.)

What firmware version are you running on the device?

Not known.

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. The keyboard layout of LifeTouch Note is "Japanese (OADG 109A) keyboard
layout". See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Keyboard_layout The sl4a Python shell
and sl4a Shell do not recognize symbol input (e.g., "_", "*", " characters)
correctly for this keyboard layout.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

For example, if I press "Shift" + "8", "(" character is expected.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

android 2.2 & PythonForAndroid_r4.apk

Please provide any additional information below.

None.
