Hello!

I was searching for a citation for this package but didn't see one linked to the README. Would this be the corresponding article?

Chechile, R. A., & Barch Jr, D. H. (2022). A distribution-free, Bayesian goodness-of-fit method for assessing similar scientific prediction equations. Journal of Mathematical Psychology, 107, 102638.

Many thanks!

Hi there!

The paper to accompany the package is still under review - I can update this post when it's accepted. In the meantime, we have included citations in the documentation for each function for the methods we used to write the software; for example: if you are using the dfba_bivariate_concordance function, then the paper you cited is the one to go with.

Thanks!

Ah okay! If I am using dfba_mann_whitney, then I presume this would be the citation to go with as it outlines the theoretical framework?

Chechile, R. A. (2020). A Bayesian analysis for the Mann-Whitney statistic. Communications in Statistics: Theory and Methods}, 49, 670-696. https://doi.org/10.1080/03610926.2018.1549247

Many thanks!

Yes, that would be the perfect citation to use!
