Pack has extreme balance issues and may not even be possible #10

Oredict is done horribly and inconsistently.

AE2 is gated behind the Precision Assembler, which requires specifically the Wetware Processor, gating it behind ZPM in GregTech. The Electric Blast Furnace requires Indium, which requires an EV Chemical Reactor. Heavily nested ExtendedCrafting recipes without PackagedAuto

I find it very unlikely this pack was playtested effectively.

Hello, first of all my apologies for not replying to your issue before, i stopped working on the pack due to irl issues, so i did not read it until today. I am back working on it again, and yeah, the issues you accurately point here have been addressed during the 2.0 update i have been working on for the last weeks.

Oredict is done horribly and inconsistently.

You are absolutely right on that, back then i did the oredict script very poorly indeed. But now as of version 2.0.0 the oredict is done in a more consistent way. I have learned from my mistakes four years ago.

AE2 is gated behind the Precision Assembler, which requires specifically the Wetware Processor, gating it behind ZPM in

The idea with that was indeed gating AE2 behind some late GregTech tier, and ZPM maybe was a bit too much. In new version of the pack AE2 ME blocks are gated behind HV to ZPM tiers, the late being for Quantum Ring only.

The Electric Blast Furnace requires Indium, which requires an EV Chemical Reactor.

The Electric Blast Furnace has been reworked in 2.0, it mostly requires materials that can obtainable with LV machinery.

Heavily nested ExtendedCrafting recipes without PackagedAuto

Extended Crafting was probably overused in older versions, where the lack of automation looks like made things overly tedious. Now it is used for the most part with recipes that are not meant to be crafted too many times. That being said, an alternative GTCEu assembler recipe, which also allows more than 9 items per craft, will be added for the other recipes that may needed to be crafted multiple times.

I find it very unlikely this pack was playtested effectively.

You are also correct on that, i personally could only test up to the early mid game. I remember some people in dc claimed to reach some late game mods, but the pack was not fully tested as it was only me doing all the stuff and i stopped working on it in early 2019. Many issues were caused by adding GTCE after the pack being released, which caused some recipe inconsistencies such as the ones you have pointed out here. Now i have spent two months updating every single mod that made it to 2.0 with GTCEu from the very beginning. My idea is to keep working on the pack for the foreseeable future and to move on when mods such as GTCEu and AdvancedRocketry get updated to a newer MC version. Id also like to open a small server and allow people to join in.

Thanks for the feedback.
