As far as I can tell, the issue here is that the order search endpoint has seven fields it searches - so the text is split by word and a massive OR query is constructed to see if any of the provided words match any of the seven fields. That OR query (I theorize) fails because it's so large.
This is not high priority since this was clearly a typo and not the intended use of the field.
