Could you link to a help page at Google that explains how this feature works? I never used it.
This just works by setting the From: header in the sent message to one of the authorized addresses. In other words, like any standard SMTP server, you set the From: header to whatever you want, only it bounces if you use an address which isn't known to be associated with the Gmail account used for SMTP authentication.
(And: big +1 for this.)
Any update on this? Would really love to use it.
Looks pretty simple. So you only need to be able to set the From header to an arbitrary email address?
Seems to be just that simple, yeah.
I use this all the time for several emails. This is keeping me from using vmail to send business related mails.
:+1:
It would be great if vmail supported Gmail's "send from another address" feature.
Thanks!
