Hi @owenstake, can you flesh out this proposal please? (Assume that the reader is completely unfamiliar with cargo-binstall.)

What problem with the current installation options are you addressing? How will it be improved with cargo-binstall?
What would need to be done to make it happen?
What other Rust CLI projects have taken the approach you're proposing?
