QA environment #39

How is your QA environment in Responsys setup? Different server? Prefixed folders and contact lists?

Hi @atomical . If you're talking about the tests in this GEM, we're using the same server but:

we're using a different account than the production one just to make sure if we run tests, these are not impacting API throttling on production. (throttling is per account)
a different and dedicated folder to make sure tests are not touching production data and vice versa.

The data for the tests is defined in https://github.com/dandemeyere/responsys-api/blob/master/spec/test_data.yml

I suggest locally you:

delete the VCR cassettes
set your API credentials. Copy https://github.com/dandemeyere/responsys-api/blob/master/spec/api_credentials.sample.yml to api_credentials.yml in the same folder and set your login and password.
create the main folder and objects that should match what's in the test_data.yml file.
run the tests rspec and fix objects/records if needed to have a green suite.
