Bug: various Cycling Road functions do not work as they do in Pokemon Yellow/ Pokemon FireRed LeafGreen #90

1) It is possible to Surf on all water tiles of Cycling Road. If you Surf and then dismount the player will be walking around instead of returning to their bike for traversal.

How it works in Pokemon Yellow: Surfing is not an option at all. The player must remain on the bike at all times. Fishing is also not an option.

Suggestion: Remove Surfing functionality and move all water encounters (fishing, surfing) to nearby routes if they aren't available anywhere else.

2) Cycling Road is not on a slope and will not send the player south if no button is being pressed. Pressing "B" does not stop the bike where it is. This is admittedly a debatable enhancement to the vanilla experience, but is not faithful to the original Pokemon Yellow game.

How it works in Pokemon Yellow: If the player is pressing no button, the player will start to go south as if going downhill. Pressing down will make the player go faster than normal. Pressing left, right, or up will see the character move slowly in the prompted direction.

Suggestion: Restore the slope and bike controls from Pokemon Yellow.

So far this appears to be working as intended. That being said, I do have a suggestion to help with Pokemon encounters. Once a person was walking they could use the DexNav to catch Eevee here for their Pokedex. Now that this is fixed and you can't use DexNav as effectively on the bike, I would recommend adding Eevee somewhere else in the world where the bike isn't a requirement so people can Eevee ability farm. I've been playing for 8 IRL hours now at the correct time of day to find Eevee in the grass here and it has yet to happen. 😅

This is a really good point. I’ll add Eevee to another part of the world in the next release.

Walking on cycling road is possible by going down to Route 18, surfing on the water, then returning to shore. You can walk up Cycling Road at that point. https://imgur.com/a/kdC2DVZ

Nice catch. I'll add some rocks / change up surf collisions.
