Some icons display as an "X" #119

E.g. Alacritty.

I am using the Hey-Blue icon theme on Manjaro Plasma Unstable branch.

Hi,

If KSmoothDock doesn't find a program on the Applications Menu, it will use a default icon (the X icon).

Does Alacritty show up on either KSmoothDock Application Menu or Plasma panel's Application Menu?

Yes to both: image

I haven't got a panel running, but it definitely did previously

I see, thanks.

So when a program runs, KSmoothDock tries to find it in the Application Menu by comparing the command of the program with the command in the Application Menu entry (with additional logic). There's probably a corner case for Alacritty that it doesn't yet handle correctly.

I will look into it when I can.

Another example - Pinta (paint program).

The newly released version v6.3 should have fixed this in most cases.
