Hi @tdshusm, a very good point, I agree.
This COC is developed from tech conferences, where sexual language and imagery is generally inappropriate. Of course music events are different, a lot of music is about sex / sexuality. Personally I'm fine with that.
For events in Sheffield we made our own CoC, using @danhett's algorave one as a starting point. We decided to just delete the bit about sexual language + imagery, it just didn't seem relevant. Here it is: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1lKHS-tbKSSrF364Psk4JyRacrYEcGKDJXvLB9EkqnOs/edit
Have a look and please let me know what you think. Perhaps we should use this one as a starting point instead?
Good point - I took mine from a comment tech conf/fest template I've seen used in a few places, I forget which it was. Noted!
@yaxu @danhett thank you for replying! The Tidal Club CoC looks better in showing three examples explicitly, although if the part I cited is deleted, it looks good enough to me at this point.
I remembered we kind of moved the CoC under the Algorave org, and edited it there: https://github.com/Algorave/algoraveconduct/blob/master/conduct.md
@danhett would it be OK to have this repo point at the fork?
ah, yeah of course

@danhett this is still not pointing at the fork and is the top google hit for me
oh!!!! wow you should have kicked me about this way sooner. OK so I'm easy, either bang me a PR, or I'll happily just transfer ownership of this repo to you/algorave or however you're set up. Let me know how I can help and I'll sort straight away. :)
Oh, you did already. fucks sake. brain doesn't reach that far back, apparently. :D
I was just wondering if the statement below is appropriate in any case: "Sexual language and imagery is not appropriate for an Algorave, including audio or visual performances and extending to feedback and discussion in person or via online media." Many artists who admit their minor sexuality have been dealing with sexual themes with sexual expressions in terms of their own sexuality. If sexual expressions in general are prohibited, I am afraid that some persons with minor sexuality would lose their themes and lose the chance to show their own expressions, and it would be a kind of silent violence towards the minorities. Isn’t it enough that we prohibit any attack towards any sexuality?
