ReplicatorG freezes when opening *any* STL file (including examples)

I have been plagued by this issue - and have run into it on three different 
PCs, (64 and 32 bit) running Windows-7. ReplicatorG will freeze when opening 
any STL file, including the ones in the "examples" menu. After a freeze, and 
attempt to close the app displays a "Java SE Binary" has hung.

I have tried replacing the "embedded" java version with a (newer) 6.0.39 
release, have tried installing, uninstalling and re installing both Java and 
Python on my systems - nothing works. (Again, at least *three* different 
systems).

I have turned my logging level to "all" and just see four message reassuring 
Camera translation, elevation and dimensionless. The last message is just the 
name of the file I am opening, before it hangs.

I have tried this with both version 0037 and 0044.

I am more than happy to try anything, or provide anything to help debug - but I 
don't know where to go with this at current.

I am having the same exact issue.. hoping for any info..? 

New windows 7 laptop, 64 bit. Freezing with exact same error. Installed java 32 
bit specifically too. Didn't help...
