smashwords says this epub doesn't pass, but the validate page says it does. I'm flummoxed. #122

PROBLEM:

Give a brief description of the problem

METHOD: download the epub file from smashwords.
go to:  http://threepress.org/document/epub-validate
ask it to check the epub file. It passes. Smashwords says it doesn't pass.

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. download the epub file from smashwords
2. go to http://threepress.org/document/epub-validate and check the file
3. see that it passes, but smashwords says it doesn't pass. I've emailed 
Smashwords several days ago. They do not respond.  If it passes it should pass 
all tests. If it doesn't then it should fail all tests.  I can't figure out 
what's going on here.

This does validate against epubcheck 1.2 for me locally. Smashwords may be 
doing additional validation (possibly with Apple's ITMSTransporter?). Only they 
can address this issue.

A little bit of hand work on the styling could greatly improve the readability 
of this book.
