Warning caused by epub opened in iTunes #94

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

When iTunes opens an epub, it inserts an extra file (iTunesMetadata.plist) that
isn't included in the OPF file - which causes a warning when epubchecked.

Obviously it would be better if iTunes didn't do this, but it's unlikely to
change. Is there a case for ignoring this file? Or should we reject these books?

Sorry, we can't do anything about this in EPUBCheck, at least not at this time.
Reporting warnings for unused files is a good and often-requested feature, and
we can't really start making exceptions for particular vendors and/or tools.
