Network links don't appear in IE #20

In IE11 on Windows 8.1, the lines/edges linking nodes in the Network tab aren't appearing. The arrowheads do appear and the node shapes animate, just not the arrow tails.

If we ever have time to fix cross-browser issues, I'd be more inclined to fix #26 (firefox issue)
