Fieldnotes/Logs does not work in hildon GUI (N900) #156

Commit 4d624cc822e24a27c9aaf455ba6f91919f07d082 is messed up and breaks ability to write fieldnotes.

There is a lot of undefined variables - sel_size, cache, Null.
