In order to use the local models you need to have a Github copilote account, if you have any solutions please share it

I have the same issue. Is there any open source Copilot extension that uses OpenAI APIs so that we can redirect the traffic to the local llama server?

I am experiencing this too. I cannot get past the extension wanting to be signed in.

You can use Codellama(the VS code extension is continue - codellama) instead but you need a good model with a powerful machine
