1) Changed links to more up-to-date versions (basically the main download page where one could find the download) & httpS for sourceforge.
2) Append $PATH instead of prepending it, to make sure the correct mingw gets used (other programs might have written their mingw into PATH).
3) Because of 2. we can remove the hardcoded path.
