Have interaction options be embedded, instead of the options opening in a new window. #758

In as much detail as possible, please describe what you would like to see.

1. Currently after you write a state, you click a button that says +Interaction
2. The term "Interaction" is not clear. However, the interactions themselves
Are clear and generally self-explanatory because of their visual nature.
3. Instead of having to click the "+Interaction" button, simply embed the
interaction options right there in the page.
4. That way 1) you won't have to think of a better term for "Interaction", 2)
it's one less click for creators, and 3) the options are right there in front
of them.

What operating system are you using?
Yosemite 10.10.3

Please provide any additional information below.

+Amy, Amit

Amy, how does this compare with your usability testing?

I think point (4)(1) is moot since we'll need to have the term 'interaction'
anyway, since there's the "customize interaction" dialog. (4)(2) is true but I
think that (4)(3) might make the UI look too complicated. Thoughts welcome!

I'd be interested to see if this comes up again. The reason we pushed for there
to be a button that says interaction was to force the user to enter content in
the state above, and THEN choose to add the interaction. By embedding it in the
UI underneath the content box, we'd confuse the user with too many actions at
once, in my opinion and from what I've seen with user testing.

What do you think Amit?

Sean & Amy that's a great point about too much being on one page if it were
embedded. I see why you did it like that. Like Amy said, it would be
interesting to see if it comes up again.

I agree with what Amy said, but I also agree that it would be important to
address this if it came up again. Closing for now, but please feel free to
reopen this thread again if other authors run into this.
