All my bookmarks are gone #478

Hi When I logged onto Chrome today, all my bookmark bar (except the current one) disappeared. Is this to do with Chrome removing the extension? I have not saved all those bookmarks anywhere except on the bookmark bar and so I now, lost all of them. Is there any way to recover them at all? Thanks.
