Any way to comine this with collapsable lists?

This isn't a bug, I apologize but didn't see where to ask about enhancements. 

I'm using your plugin for a subjects thesaurus that can list up to 700
items. They're all collapsed (except for a handful of root subjects) but
once clicked they should expand to show the children subjects. I've
modified your code to return JSON for that subject's children when clicked.
Now I need to append that data to its proper place in the list. Any insight
as to the easiest way to go about this?

Collapsable list is something I need too.. It would be great if you can include
