If so, I'd suggest perhaps we pair this change with a new API that lets you collect information about what cities have which companies / gyms so that these's a more elegant way to write singularity logic than hard-coding this data into scripts.
This would be a breaking change for singularity scripts, so perhaps you can pre-empt the change by first adding a quick commit to an upcoming release that adds a new log "ApplyToCompany" log output that warns of the upcoming change so folks have some lead time to update their scripts. Something like:
After sufficient lead time, the warning can be converted to an error.
