GAE Channel API #70

I'm using app-engine's Channel API to push notifications to my web application. 
Lately tried to use with a gwt-phonegap android application but it didn't 
work.. notifications never made it to the application.

Does anyone have experience with using Channel API with phonegap?

Note that trying the notifications on browser works from chrome on mobile. But 
not the android built app.
