Attached is a figure illustrating the issue. Black arrows indicating the location of the gap being formed. I have done thrusts in the past, but have not had gaps form behind the thrust.

This a top view, i guess? Copy please the UNIT file and I'll probably see the problem.

This is basically it, but this has a bend in it: time 2 cut_all 1 fault 1 vel_x -3 vel_y 3 time_stop 6

z_default 1e-6 mode_interp 4

-4000 -10e3 210e3 #top left point, out of domain 70e3 210e3 #top right corner,out of domain 180e3 100e3 #right top nickpoint 180e3 30e3 #right bottom nickpoint 220e3 -10e3 #bottom right corner, out of domain -10e3 -10e3 #bottom left corner, out of domain

but if the southern boundary of the UNIT is truly out of the domain, then it should not do what you say.

Sorry, had a crazy week. here is the domain: xmin 00e3 Western model limit coordinate [m] xmax 200e3 Eastern model limit coordinate [m] ymin 0e3 Southern model limit coordinate [m] ymax 200e3 Northern model limit coordinate [m]

I can't find the flaw.

Can you pack all the setting and send it to me? I'll try if i get the same

Michael, try option

-v\/\/\

It's added to the latest version, allows you to change the velocity of any block at any time, combining with -F.
