7 years ago neat finds! got ideas for what to do with them?
the financial news thing makes me think - maybe we could get stock data and analyse how news affects stock prices.
secondary thing - combine stock prices with news data, run some kind of unsupervised learning algorithm on them together, to see if clusters emerge? e.g. middle east conflict clusters with oil companies - i wonder if we will turn up anything non-obvious.
@xianny potential sibling datasource to gdelt, instead of wikipedia https://www.cityfalcon.com/financial-news-api , proprietary but 150K free calls /month (hopefully multilple records each call?) https://newsapi.org/ - probably unstable as not on github, not opensource and no information about it
